Welcome Royal Intel – STB research evolved!
The story of Royal Intel is in truth a remarkable one. Royal Intel is the final stage in the evolution of the research unit of Scandinavian Tourist Board (STB). From a single-person stab function around the turn of the century, the STB research unit had by 2006 grown into a big leaguer in charge of such diverse projects as company branding, STB’s fan club for Japanese Scandinavia aficionados, exhibitions, communications concepts, and, of course, market research.
Now a new chapter is being written. November 1, 2007, the research unit ventured out on its own under the name Royal Intel. No longer part of the STB family and, therefore, not limited by national interests, Royal Intel has embarked on an ambitious quest to expand its market scope and to raise the bar of what is considered effective communication and dissemination of market intelligence.
Working out of the Philippines, Royal Intel offers very competitive prices, employs staff with superior English skills (the Philippines is the world number three in terms of the number of English speakers after the US and the UK), is ideally located no APAC country more than four hours away, and is, finally, free from any kind of censorship (unlike many other Asian countries e.g. China and Singapore where censorship is strictly exercised). Royal Intel consists of the same dedicated people who made up the STB research unit. The name may have changed but the competencies remain the same.
