Thailand Thai tourism is booming. Especially Europe, including the Nordic countries, have seen an explosion in the number of visitors as more and more Thai set out for new, faraway destinations. The success of the Nordic tour product is in no small part thanks to the unique ties between Thailand and Norway - an offshoot of King Rama V’s expedition to the North Cape in 1907. All Nordic tour packages are sold outside the Thai high seasons, i.e. when demand is low, and the Thai travelers are pushing for still longer itineraries. It ought to take very little to turbo charge the Nordic region’s already impressive influx of Thai travelers. |
